Mantras Recommended during this Solar Eclipse

As it is a solar eclipse , it is most advisable to chant the mantras for the Sun God.

You can also chant or listen to Vishnu Sahasranama.

Chanting of Om Namah Shivayah can also be done.

As per the virtuous rules, after 12 hours from the beginning of Solar Eclipse the Sutak period starts.

It is preferred that you take bath before the eclipse light a diya and then do the chantings and as the eclipse gets over you are advised to take a bath again.

After Eclipse, you should also sprinkle your home with Holy water .

It is also advised to fast during the eclipse period.
